ITM Power COP26 – CONFERENCE AV HIRE

ITM Power COP26 Conference 1:36
Neuron were an exceptionally professional AV company who really helped to make our event shine. They were efficient in the load in and build. They understood the event spec and were responsive to changes before and during the event. Their equipment was brilliant. It truly sounded and looked incredible. Couldn’t recommend more highly. It’s not every day you find yourself in the world’s largest hydrogen energy electrolyser factory. As part of the recent COP26 regional roadshow, this is exactly where the Neuron events team found themselves, delivering 360° event production for the Science & Innovation day conference in ITM Power’s Sheffield gigafactory.

Jon Hall of ITM Power got in touch with Neuron about putting together an AV hire package for the event. Whilst our experience in corporate events made us a natural choice, our environmentally friendly PA hire offering from Danley Sound Labs and Powersoft ensured we were the green choice too. We deployed the Danley SH95 for FOH, with Danley TH118XL subs providing low-end impact for the video content. This compact but extremely coherent and powerful system is perfect for speech applications in challenging environments. The light and potent speaker and amplifier combination mean less weight for transport and less power used during the event, all leading to greener credentials.

For the video element of the production, dual 7.5m2 3.9mm LED screens were used to display the content presentation along with a hidden comfort monitor for presenters. Neuron also supplied a videographer to film the event and create a post-show video to commemorate the conference. Throughout the day, there were a number of keynote and panel presentations, all amplified through our Sennheiser wireless microphones. For keynote speakers, a lectern was provided with custom branding from the event sponsors: ITM Power and The University of Sheffield.

Overall the meeting of business leaders, media, local government, academics and industry figures provided a great insight into how South Yorkshire will contribute to the net-zero journey that the UK is currently on and the steps that need to be taken. We’re looking forward to working with ITM and other partners involved in this project for future events in the year ahead.
